What to expect
Order – When you order a TrailerSentry® device from us, you can rest assured you will get a reliable and trustworthy service along with technical support and great after-service. You will get a confirmation of order by email
When we receive an order there are a number of things for us to do.
Account Creation – We create an account in our Telematics platform and enter your email, name and Company (if applicable). Once this has been created, we add in your tracker details and set up user permissions and log in.
Provision Device – The device is then fitted with a SIM card and batteries, and activated. We update firmware and then perform a series of checks to make sure everything is working as it should. The device is packaged ready for dispatch. We use DHL to get the device delivered to you quickly and reliably.
Dispatch – Once dispatched, we send you an email with your login link and credentials, this email also contains our “Getting Started guide” and links to some helpful videos to help you get the most from our system.
Install – If you are installing the tracker yourself, we will send you our installation guide as well.
Support – At any stage, you are welcome to call or email us for help or support getting to speak with a real person quickly.
Aftercare & On-going Support
Transfer or Sale
If you sell your trailer and wish to pass on the Trailersentry® tracker to the new owner, please let us know and we can ensure a smooth transition.
Cancellation
You can cancel anytime without notice or penalty. We do not lock you into long-term commitments or contracts.
Once cancelled, if you later decide to re-join us, there is a £25 re-connection charge and you will have to return the tracker back to us for re-configuration and a new data Sim and a new account will be created
Low Battery Alert
If your tracker sends you a low battery alert, you generally have three to four weeks’ notice that it will fail.
Lithium batteries die suddenly rather than taper off slowly, so our best advice would be to act as quickly to swap out the batteries and continue the protection of your trailer.
Contained within your low battery alert, will be a link to the “HowTo” video and a link to the correct replacement batteries on our website for your convenience.
You do not have to purchase from us if you can source the correct ones yourself.
